Iroquois Discovery Project

"Hodinoshoni": People of the Longhouse

 Sg'eno. . .this website has been created to help you gather information on the Iroquois Nation and to complete your Iroquois Discovery Portfolio. Throughout this unit you will use the internet and its many resources to find information about Iroquois history and culture. All of the worksheets and grading expectations are available online for your convenience. Good Luck. . .or as the Iroquois say, "Sago!"

Project Overview & Requirements

This project combines English and Social Studies where you and your partner (you may also work alone) will complete nine (9) "online" activities and use the internet to gather knowledge and answer key questions about the Iroquois. Individually, you will be responsible for completing two "artifacts" for English and two "artifacts" for Social Studies.

An "artifact" may be a piece of writing or a physical object created solely by you. An artifact should demonstrate your creativity, effort, and historical accuracy. Any written artifacts for English or Social Studies should include a planning page, a conferenced rough draft, and an edited final draft.

All of the online worksheets, written artifacts and activities should be completed, printed, and placed in your portfolio.

See the Wolf Page for Artifacts Assignment or begin working on the activities pages.
