This period is designed so that you can get important written assignments, reading, and studying done before you go home. It allows you to see teachers with questions you may have about assignments and grades. It also allows you time to visit the library. 1) Be on time with all work and materials you will need for the class period. 2) No passes for the first 15 minutes of Silent Reading or Resource Period. After 15 minutes, you may fill out your own pass to visit teachers or the library. If you've done little work up until then, don't expect to go anywhere. 3) Sit on opposite ends of tables (2 per table) until room is filled. Use computer and material stations too. 4) If you finish your school work, you may read quietly. 5) Whispering/Quiet Talking is appropriate so that others may read and work without distraction. 6) If you have a question, quietly come up to my desk rather than disturbing others. 7) After your third late/unprepared, your S.T.A.R. Card will be punched. 8) Written/verbal permission from teachers is needed to work together on projects and assignments. If you're disruptive, you'll be asked to return to working by yourselves. 9) Try to use the bathroom before class and between class periods. I will reward bathroom privileges to students who have completed assignments and used their time wisely. Sign out and take a pass if there is one.
