- for NEW Eighth
Graders!
This will be a year of transitions
for you as you prepare to move from middle school to high school.
We are here to help you and teach you the skills you will need
to make this a smooth transition.
We hope you enjoy your summer,
as you do have a busy year ahead of you. One of the things you
can do to get started is to complete this summer reading project.
All you have to do is choose one of the books from our recommended
reading list and complete the assignment before school begins.
We've chosen a group of books
about characters who, like yourself, are discovering what is
important to them, and coming to terms with who they are. You
will see that we've included a brief book summary, the number
of pages, and reading level for each of the books. Please look
at all the choices and choose one that best meets your interests
AND ability.
