- "Change" is the theme
we have chosen for sixth grade. In fact, you may be a little
nervous making a change from fifth to sixth grade-- bigger building,
more students, lockers, and new faces. Although changes can be
scary they can also bring rewards. We hope when you read a book
from the recommended list you will begin to realize that a change
can be an exciting journey.
Reading is an important tool
for this journey. Whether you like to read teen or sports magazines,
the newspaper or even Harry Potter, the fact that you are reading
is a giant step toward becoming a better reader. In addition
to all the great reading we hope you are doing, we invite you
to participate in a summer reading program that will reward you
for reading just ONE book.
